Chevrolet Drops MSRP for the new 2014 Volt

Automakers around the world are constantly trying to woo more buyers with better features and low prices but not all cars manage to offer value for money experience. Chevrolet has now decided to bring down the overall price of the 2014 Chevrolet Volt that will allow car buyers to rethink about the cars that they are buying. Already, Chevrolet Volt has been one of the most popular cars in the market and lowering the retail price will make it even better for Chevrolet to attract more buyers.

The US automaker made an announcement that the 2014 model will have a base model price of $34,995 which also includes $810 destination fee, but it excludes tax, title fees, license fees and dealer fees. Chevrolet also mentioned that if the consumers include federal tax credits that usually range from $0 to $7500 they can get 2014 Chevrolet Volt in the market for $27,495. However, federal tax credits are based on individual tax liability so buyers should consult their tax consultant prior to claiming any credits that they can use to buy 2014 Chevrolet Volt. Compared to the earlier price, Chevrolet has decided to cut down around $5000 for the new 2014 Volt.

Don Johnson Vice President Chevrolet Sales and Services said that low price and cost savings that come from driving electric car offers so much more to the consumers. He said that over the past few years Chevrolet has gained more knowledge and information to make better electric cars and therefore they are managing to come up with better cars at low cost of production. The new 2014 Volt will also see better battery performance and life and will come with added features like leather wrapped steering wheel and MyLink program that will make driving experience better for the consumers.
