Volvo XC60 Takes Out World Car Of The Year Award

Amongst a lot of stiff competition, the World Car of the Year for 2018 was announced at the World Car of The Year Awards on March 28^th of this year.

There were 34 other vehicles in contention across the globe. Then the list was culled to 10.

1. Mazda CX‐5
2. Range Rover Velar
3. Volvo XC60

Selection Criteria

Criteria required that the cars nominated for the award must be sold on a minimum of 2 continents between January 1^st 2017 – May 31^st 2018.

Volvo XC60 is one of the most popular SUV’s in the world. ALthough it has only five seats, more suited to a small family, it sits well in the category of prestige SUV’s,along with rivals such as its Audi Q5, Mercedes-Benz GLC and BMW X3.

The variance in price is to do with the fuel – diesel to petrol to petrol-electric hybrid.
