This is the second Riviera, the first Riviera was launched back in 2007 at the same Shanghai Motor Show but is totally different and a bit more appealing and charismatic. Though, it is clear that the production version can’t get all the styling and exterior feature of the concept version as it is but we can expect a unique, sportier and more elegant car under the flagship of the Buick.

An old Chinese saying is “The greatest good is like water”, and this is what from which the styling, exterior appeal and design language of the new Buick Riviera concept is inspired. The concept has a bunch of elegant lines making it look like a flowing river and a new waterfall grille is placed to complement the front of the car. A pair of new wing shaped daytime running lights are also positioned that will definitely become the part of the upcoming future models by Buick. Other features of the Buick’s Riviera are 14 degrees fastback design, active pneumatic wheels, metallic fiber spoiler, raked windshield and active grille diffusers and shutters. The concept had unique and stylish gull-wing doors. Expect certain changes in the production model too as usually carmakers adds and subtract things in production to make the car more appealing and sophisticated.

Interior

The interior of this modern and luxurious car is equally complementing the exterior and it should because the engineers and designing team of the Buick combine their skills, efforts and superior quality materials to design a memorable interior that a car like Riviera deserves. Buick used Lava suede and ebony and sand blasted aluminum alloy for the interior. The new Riviera gets an all new well equipped center console, adaptive seating system, front floating seats and a new mobile internet system that will support 4G LTE network. With the help of this innovative and high tech features including real time traffic information, news, entertainment, communication system to communicate with vehicles and weather updates. The Riviera is inspired from water and you will see lots of features reflecting water therefore, the interior is illuminated with soft blue LED lights. For the new Buick Riviera, the manufacturer made certain notable and impressive improvements that is a good approach.
