Mazda Introduces HAZUMI at the Geneva Motor Show

Mazda HAZUMI conceptDuring the on-going 2014 Geneva Motor Show, Mazda Motor Corporation has introduced its much-awaited Mazda HAZUMI, the future subcompact concept model. Encompassing four major aspects of Mazda’s automobile engineering – SKYACTIV Technology, KODO, Mazda Proactive Safety and Mazda Connect which improves the level of connectivity – I believe, the Mazda HAZUMI will be a massive success.

Masamichi Kogai, Mazda’s Representative Director, President and CEO, believes that the Mazda HAZUMI will turn out to be a trendsetter for the company in future, while providing a fascinating driving experience to its customers. Mazda is already one of the leading automobile brands around the globe and Kogai hopes to attract a wider range of customers through HAZUMI.

The 84th edition of the Geneva Motor Show is just the perfect occasion for Mazda to launch its latest technology, with car lovers from all parts of the world following the event vigorously.

The HAZUMI is a beautiful looking supermini and the production appears to be quite wonderful. Due to different mirrors, better door handles and smaller wheels, you can call it a perfect Mazda II.

Over the years, the interior designs of most Mazda vehicles didn’t catch my attention due to dreariness, but the HAZUMI is surely different as it possesses a very promising interior – enough cabin space and many modern connectivity and mobility functions.

Mazda has also showcased a small-displacement clean diesel engine, named SKYACTIV-D 1.5, for the first time at the Motor Show. As per the claims of manufacturer, the latest diesel engine is environment-friendly as well as extremely efficient, just like the previous version, the SKYACTIV-D 2.2. With cleaner burning, the new engine has the potential to offer greater torque and acceleration that enhance the overall driving experience.
