MotorWeek Awards Chrysler with Two Titles

2014 Ram 1500As we are proceeding to 2014 Chicago Auto Show, I was quite impatient to see this year’s Drivers’ Choice Award from MotorWeek. And guess what, these were announced just before the event starts. I got more into it after finding out that Chrysler is awarded for two of its creations, 2014 RAM 1500 and 2014 Jeep Cherokee in Pickup Truck and Small Utility categories, respectively.

Being a profound admirer of Chrysler, I was overwhelmed to know that the company has equaled with Chevrolet by getting two awards in distinct categories. Other winner vehicles include: Ford Fiesta ST, Mazda3, Chevrolet Impala, Jaguar F-Type, Cadillac CTS, Subaru WRX, BMW 4 Series, Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, Hyundai Santa Fe, Honda Accord Hybrid, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, Porsche 911 Turbo S, and Land Rover Range Rover Sport in subcompact car, compact car, family sedan, convertible, luxury sedan, sport sedan, sports coupe, performance car, large utility, eco-friendly, and dream machine categories, respectively. However, the ‘Best of the Year’ title was taken by Stingray.

2014 Ram 1500 , recognized as the Best Pickup Truck has powertrain ranging from 3.7 liter PowerTech V6 to 6.7 liter six-cylinder Cummins Turbo-Diesel engines, while the transmission capabilities are unique with RFE and Aisin technologies. This heavy weight champion really has the ability to be listed on top of the list.

2014 Jeep Cherokee (KL) on the other hand, is an all-new version of this lineup that has replaced the outgoing Jeep Liberty (KK). Displayed for the first time at 2013 New York International Auto Show, this midsize crossover SUV was applauded by the audience. You can acquire it in different engine options including Multijet four-cylinder, Tigershark four-cylinder, and Pentastar V6.
