Ford Introduces New Smart Features to Redefine F-150 Trucks

New Ford F-150 TruckThe Ford F-150 remains the most popular American truck that you can find in the market and this year at the 2014 North American International Auto Show Ford has decided to come up with their new Ford F-150 that remains the toughest, smartest and the most capable truck in the market. The American automaker believes that Ford F-150 is definitely ahead of its rivals in every possible way and therefore they are only making it tougher and better to compete others in the market.

While the overall design and sculpture of the truck remains very similar to the earlier models the new Ford F-150 makes use of high strength military grade aluminum alloys that are usually used in rugged industries. This gives Ford F-150 a new level of strength to endure rough weather and unforgiving terrains while keeping its overall weight low.

The new steel that is used actually saves up 700 pounds of weight compared to the earlier Ford F-150 models.

Under the hood, Ford F-150 gets new 2.7 liter EcoBoost with standard Auto Start/Stop technology, 3.5 liter V6 engine with twin independent variable camshaft timing and also 3.5 liter EcoBoost and 5.0 liter Ti-VCT V8 engine. The new Ford F-150 trucks also get Active Grille Shutters that reduce aerodynamic drag at cruising speed and stay open when engine needs extra cooling.

Apart from all this, Ford has also incorporated many smart features that make Ford F-150 one of the smartest trucks in the market. It has 360 degree camera view that helps driver to handle the truck in the right way. It also incorporates integrated loading ramps, BoxLink, LED headlamps and rear lights that offer better visibility. On the rear side, Ford F-150 trucks now have trailer hitch assist, smart trailer tow module, remote tailgate and next generation tailgate step. On the inside, new Ford F-150 trucks get new 8 inch LCD productivity screen in the instrument panel and hidden storage for valuables under the seat. The truck also come with better safety features like Blind Spot Information Systems, Lane Keeping System, Curve Control, Adaptive Cruise Control and Second Row Inflatable safety belts.
