The Jeep Wrangler Willys Wheeler Edition: What to Look Forward To

2014 Jeep WranglerThe 2014 Jeep Wrangler Willys Wheeler Edition has already made its debut at the 2013 LA International Auto Show and is expected to hit showrooms across the length and breadth of the country in early 2014. The price will be something around $25,795 (the two door ones, while the four door ones would come at something around $25,595) and as expected, the new addition to the illustrious range of Jeep Wrangler cars has already started nudging the fancy of car lovers. With the new Willys Wheeler Edition, Jeep Wrangler is paying tribute to the military heritage of the jeep. Willys CJ or the Civilian Jeep inspires this mind-blowing model blessed with impeccable styling and a range of upgrades.

The Technicalities

Taking off from where we left, it’s the upgrades that are the talking point at the moment. As far as the Jeep Wrangler Sport is concerned, the upgrades include the BF Goodrich KM Mud Terrain tires fitted on top of the Willy’s Wheeler 17 inch wheels (black). The Dana 44 rear axle along with 3.73 gears and limited-slip differential is a definite upgrade as well. The addition of the shiny black grille completes the vintage jeep look of the car. The presence of the rock rails and Willys hood stickers, tow straps and D-ring accentuates this look further. The tow-strap, D-Ring and the gloves come in a unique bag. This one is teamed with a two-speed, 4*4 part time transfer case with a 2.72:1 gear ratio (low range) in a bid to bolster off-road utility. Its backed by the power of 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 along with 285 horsepower aside from 260ft-lb torque connected to either a five-speed automatic or a six-speed manual.
