BMW 4 Series Convertible: The Next Breed of Efficient Convertibles

In terms of design the new BMW 4 Series Convertible is wider in terms of track and wheelbase so it looks bigger than the earlier BMW cars. It has a stretched bonnet and better double kidney grille with twin circular headlights and large air intakes right in front of apron. BMW has introduced new Air Breathers that are positioned right behind front wheel arches. It also has Air Curtains that reduce turbulence and aerodynamic drag at the front wheels. The B Column is missing and that makes the car look sleek when the hardtop is closed. It also gets improved roof design and advanced soundproofing with noise absorbing headliner for quiet cabin experience.

Under the hood, BMW 4 Series Convertible gets in-line six cylinder petrol engine for BMW 435i Convertible and four cylinder petrol engine for BMW 428i Convertible. BMW also offers diesel engine for BMW 420d Convertible. All engines offer the latest BMW TwinPower Turbo technology that can produce 184 horsepower to 306 horsepower performance. All the cars offer better acceleration and fuel economy in compliance with EU6 standard. While all cars get six speed manual transmission BMW also offers optional eight speed automatic transmission or eight speed Sports automatic transmission that provides better fuel efficiency option to the driver. The new 4 Series Convertible also gets BMW EfficientDynamics technology that ensures fuel savings of up to 20% for the buyers who are fuel economy conscious.
